I am Mihai Ciolca, a film composer and arranger from Bucharest, Romania. My film composer journey started in the National University of Music from Bucharest, where I studied music composition. While studying there, I worked as a freelance composer on different platforms where I expanded my network of filmmakers and directors

   I am a classically trained film composer and pianist, specializing in orchestral scores that bring depth and emotional nuance to visual storytelling. With a strong foundation in classical music and orchestration, my work blends traditional and modern symphonic textures with cinematic dynamics.

   

   Whether scoring drama, thriller, fantasy, romance, or documentary, I tailor my orchestral writing to serve the emotional and narrative needs of the film.

 

   As an arranger, I have collaborated with renowned artists from Romania and also worked with the National Operahouse, crafting arrangements that bridge artistic vision with musical clarity.

   My goal is to work with filmmakers and content creators by delivering high-quality, orchestral film scores that enhance the emotional impact of their projects. I aim to support storytelling through music that is both technically solid and artistically aligned with the director’s vision.
